The crutch is an imaginative self-portrait depicting my experience with a skateboard injury. This bricolage sculpture incorporates ready-made objects such as a crutch, foot cast, CRT TV, and a frame-by-frame looping animation of a person screaming in pain. The CRT TV and the wall also become supports for the crutch; paradoxically, the functionality of the crutch extends to the other objects surrounding the sculpture.
